About the property

Architecturally designed home perched on the Thirroul escarpment with sweeping bush and ocean views, sunrise over the water, and sunset behind the escarpment. Wood fireplace for winter, heated bathroom floors, and escarpment walking tracks starting a few blocks up the hill. Beach, cafes and train are a short walk down.

The house has separate living zones, allowing both people to have their own space and privacy. The room is fully furnished with built-in wardrobes and comes with your own private bathroom.

Particularly suited to mature postgraduate students, visiting academics, researchers or professionals relocating to the Illawarra for work or study.

I work from home most of the time as a photographer, with some shoots on location during the week, so the house is generally quiet and relaxed.

Rent is $550/week plus shared bills.

Garage space available for surfboards and bikes.

Three month minimum stay. Longer preferred.

Who you’ll be living with

I’m originally from Canada and have lived in Australia for around 20 years. Outside work I’m usually out walking, riding, shooting photos or enjoying the coast.

The house suits someone independent, respectful and easygoing who values a calm home environment and their own space.

Digby is a friendly 5. 5 year old black Lab who is a big part of the household, so being comfortable around dogs is important.

Good fit for someone wanting a quiet, well-designed place to land while studying, researching or working in the Illawarra.
